But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."  Matthew 20:14

  Children's Ministry

In the Children's Ministry at East Evangelical Free Church,

"Our Passion is to partner with families to plant the seeds of the Gospel in children, to help them grow as disciples so that they bear fruit for the Lord Jesus."

Sunday Studies

Each Sunday morning at 9:30 we offer age graded classes geared to the child's special needs and interests.  While the adults attend an Adult Bible Fellowship, the children are taught from the Bible and ministered to by a dedicated team of men and women.

Pre-schoolers go directly to their classes in the Children's wing (rooms 104-107) at 9:30 where they enjoy a variety of activities including puppets, teaching and group singing.

First and second graders meet in the Children's wing; third through fifth grade meet in the Annex.

Noah's Park and 252Basic (Children's Church)

Each Sunday morning we offer Children's Church for kids ages 3 through 5th grade during the 10:45 a.m. worship service.  The children stay with their parents until dismissed from the morning service, then proceed to the Gym where they have a time of worship designed particularly for them. They then are dismissed to either Noah's Park (3's and 4's).  In Noah's Park our kids sing, enjoy puppets, learn about Jesus, and work on crafts and projects which introduce them to the truths of God's word and His love for them.  Noah's Park meets in Room 106 where parents can pick their children up after the adult worship service.

The older children (Kindergarten through 5th grade) stay in the gym for a special program called 252Basic. Each month the lessons center around a particular virtue (Compassion, Honor, Honesty, etc.). A lively program of object lessons, activities, Bible lessons, and games minister to children on a level they can enjoy and understand.

  Summer Events

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Vacation Bible School at East EFC is an exciting week where the church is tranformed into a themed setting where the Bible comes alive for the children. This past June (09) our theme was "Crocodile Dock" with a Southern bayou setting. We are excited about this year with the theme being "High Seas Expedition." The dates will be June 7-11.
